Nick Mele grew up in Southern California and graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a degree in Psychology. He moved with his wife, Sandra Mele, to Phoenix, Arizona when she was accepted to medical school in 2011. He has been an American Heart and ASHI instructor for over five years and has a passion for educating others in saving lives. Aside from teaching, Nick enjoys playing drums, mountain biking, and spending time with his dogs.

Sandra Mele grew up in Southern California as well and graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a degree in Biological Sciences. She has taught CPR and First Aid for over ten years as an AHA and ASHI certified instructor. Sandra relocated to Arizona for medical school, and is now a local physician in Mesa. She continues to enjoy teach classes alongside her husband when she is outside of the hospital.
